SILK PROTEIN - Chemically, silk is mainly made up of two proteins: it has a main axis of FIBROIN covered by a sheath of SERICIN.

These two proteins (fibroin and sericin) have important cosmetic actions; in particular on the hair they provide not only hydration and protection, but above all they promote a strengthening and body-building action on the hair shaft, forming a protective layer without any accumulation effect.
